House of the Month
This featured home on Llandillo Road is a Germanic-style Tudor home built in approximately 1915. The house has had at least 6 owners. The residents who occupied the home from 1944 - 1964 were the owners of the Llanerch Diner. The young boy who grew up in the house during that time period recently came back for a visit and a tour. His name is Jay - the same name as the current owner. Jay told stories about the house when it had a second stairway- a mystery to the current owners and explained that when he moved into the home, the previous owners had been keeping chickens and other livestock in the dirt floored basement. The basement is now a finished rec. room for the family's kids. The home has 4 bedrooms and the inside is 2-stories with a pull-down attic. The home is setup in the classic 4-corner center hall colonial style. The house is known for its unique diamond shaped glass casement windows. Two other homes in the block nearby were built with the same design. Can you spot them? Current owners have lived in the home since 1995.
